A Day in the Life: High School Sophomore

For anyone new,
Your daily routine matters

Hi, my name is Rosie. I am currently a high school sophomore and I play three sports; basketball, soccer, and tennis. I take mostly advanced classes. Here on Love, Rosie, I am trying to build up my following to better express my voice on the internet. My daily routine as a student begins as;

6:30 I wake up.

6:30-6:50 I get dressed, do my makeup, and brush my teeth.

6:50-7:00 I make my lunch and a bottle of tea.

My lunch consists of:

  • Cottage cheese mixed with fruit or nuts
  • Cucumber and avocado salad with everything bagel seasoning
  •  Some kind of fruit
I found out that if you have every food group it will fill you throughout the day. I try not to eat bread. It makes me really full. Though that's a personal preference.

7:00-7:45 I drive to my friend's house and they drive me to school.

7:45-2:30 I go through my classes and depending on the day I have lunch between 10:30 and 12:10.

2:30-4:30 or 5:00 I practice. If it's a game day, I won't get home until around 9.

4:30-5:00 Sometimes I'll help with dinner. Other days I' ll start on my homework.

5:00-6:00 Dinner time.

6:00-9:00 I take this time to finish my homework, clean up my room a little, write a blog post, and just enjoy my music.

9:00-9:30 I wash my face, take a shower, brush my teeth, and start winding down. At this point, I have already put my phone away.

10:00 On a good day I'll go to bed at this time.

Finally it's Friday

For weekends or vacations, the routine warps a little, since I'll go to bed later and wake up at around 10 or 11 am. My sleep schedule all depends on homework, test/quizzes, and sports. My final word is, try to make the most of your free time. Don't procrastinate and sleep, or you'll be so behind on everything.

Happy New Year!

       Love,

                Rosie
