Changes and Journey

Image
Hi everyone, I am finally back again and I would like to talk about my changes to my blog. I'd like to start with my almost enlightening experience during this time. As you know the world is currently struggling to contain the COVID-19 cases. Most people are stuck inside. I know I have gone through a few 1000 piece puzzles already and I'm only on my third week. If you are in Italy and reading this you are all the strongest. Back to be stuck inside. I realized that I struggled to think of creative blog ideas categorized into a lifestyle theme, which I have been trying to theme the blog around. I figured that I needed to theme my blog on healthy habits because that is what I know best.  As a start to this new niche, I would like to start off with my journey. I briefly talked about it in my first post, but I would like to elaborate on it. This is me in 7th Grade. I was overweight and at first, didn't realize it. When you are a kid you just want to eat all the food you...

A Day in the Life: High School Sophomore

Image
For anyone new, Hi, my name is Rosie. I am currently a high school sophomore and I play three sports; basketball, soccer, and tennis. I take mostly advanced classes. Here on Love, Rosie, I am trying to build up my following to better express my voice on the internet. My daily routine as a student begins as; 6:30 I wake up. 6:30-6:50 I get dressed, do my makeup, and brush my teeth. 6:50-7:00 I make my lunch and a bottle of tea. My lunch consists of: Cottage cheese mixed with fruit or nuts Cucumber and avocado salad with everything bagel seasoning  Some kind of fruit I found out that if you have every food group it will fill you throughout the day. I try not to eat bread. It makes me really full. Though that's a personal preference. 7:00-7:45 I drive to my friend's house and they drive me to school. 7:45-2:30 I go through my classes and depending on the day I have lunch between 10:30 and 12:10. 2:30-4:30 or 5:00 I practice. If it's a game ...

New Years Resolutions and Goals

Image
Happy New Year Everyone. Welcome to a new year and a new decade. As you all know I am a student and let's just say, a school in January has been stressful. I usually am such a strong student and this year has thrown the first of many curveballs towards me. So, I'm starting the New Year in February. Except for this post, all others will be posted on a regular schedule in February. I'm a little late, but I'd first like to start this post off with my New Years Resolutions. 1.) Focus More On Schoolwork.  As I said before I am struggling. Particularly in Chemistry and Geometry. Geometry isn't math with numbers and it is really hard for my brain to comprehend. If you feel the same way please comment because I know too many people who say it's easy. 2.) Cut Out The Negative People In My Life.  This sounds a tad bit extreme, but really if you have someone who is not supporting you or is negatively affecting your self-esteem there is no need for them in your li...

50 Small Things I’m Grateful for this Thanksgiving

Image
It has come to attention that I do not appreciate little things in life, and I also dislike Thanksgiving. I completely skip past it. On the other hand, my mother loves this holiday. She said the other day that, by Thanksgiving, she won’t be miserable. For me, after Thanksgiving, I won’t be as miserable as I am now. Once Thanksgiving passes, Christmas will be right around the corner. Now, Thanksgiving is only a few weeks away. This means learning to be grateful for things.  When the question, "What you are grateful for?" comes up during this time; there is always pressure to say big, important things, like your family or the house you live in. We never address how we are grateful for the little things too. Here is a list of 50 small things I am grateful for this holiday season.  I’m Thankful for…. #1 The apples that are continuously in the house #2 My computer screen sometimes not shutting off after a minute.  #3 That there are free ways to play music ...

Easy and Creative Halloween Costume Ideas

Image
As it rapidly approaches, Halloween costumes can be harder to find. Also, they are priced on the higher side. In high school, you need a costume for one day for extra credit. These are 15 costumes that you can build with basic articles of clothing that are found in almost everyone's closet. #1 Lilo from Lilo and Stitch     A Lilo costume can be made from a red tube top, a Hawaiian skirt, and a cute pair of sandals. If you want you can curl your hair and give yourself beach waves to emphasize the idea of living in Hawaii. Also, a Stitch stuffed animal would be cute to carry around as well. #2 Nani from Lilo and Stitches   Nani has jean shorts and a yellow crop top. To add to the costume you can add a pink heart on the crop top. For shoes, you can wear combat boots or Timberlands.  #3 Brittany Spears from Baby One More Time This costume consists of pigtails with pink fluffy ties, a white button-down shirt tied u...

Starting From the Bottom

Introduction   Love Rosie began for several reasons. First off, blogging. If you asked me a year ago, I never would have thought I would do it. It's not something you can wake up one day, and say, “I'm gonna be a blogger." For me, Pinterest sparked my interest. My likes can range from NFL football to fashion. I found myself flip-flopping between too many websites. I hope that Love Rosie will have everything that you, as a reader,  need and want. Probably a dull paragraph here and there, but the topics should keep you intrigued (As I said, a wide range of interests). The second reason is my cousin. I say that she's my cousin, but really if we were being professional, she is my second cousin once removed. She is roughly eight years older than me and is like the older sister I never had.  She has supported me through all my life choices and is a big influence on me and my writing. If it wasn't for her, I don't know if I'd be writing.  Love Rosie is na...
